Who we are
Off Script Tapes is a service provided by Edithouse Wedding Films, registered in Dublin, Ireland. When these terms say "we", "us", or "Off Script", that's who we mean. When they say "you", that's the person who books the kit.

The service
We post you a Canon Legria HD camcorder, two charged batteries, two SD cards, a shoulder strap, an instruction card, and a paid return label. Your people film your event. You send the kit back inside 72 hours of your return date. We deliver two things: The Edit — a 3–5 minute short film of the day — and The Home Movie — all your clips, tidied and rolled into one video, no music. Both arrive as a private link, then on a VHS-shaped USB keepsake.
We don't film your wedding ourselves. We don't replace a videographer. We tidy and edit footage that you and your guests record.

Booking and payment
Payment is taken in full at the time of booking. Bookings are confirmed once payment clears. Prices include all-island shipping (Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland).

Cancellations and rescheduling
If you cancel more than 60 days before your event date, we refund 70% of the price. Inside 30-60 days we keep 50% of the amount. Inside 30 days, no refund — we've already reserved the kit and your edit slot.
Rescheduling is free if requested at least 30 days before your event date and we have availability. Inside 30 days, a €75 admin fee applies.
If we cancel for any reason on our side, you receive a full refund.

The kit
We post the kit so it arrives three days before your event date. You're responsible for the kit from the moment it's delivered until An Post scans it back into our care.
Treat it like it's borrowed. Don't immerse it in water. Don't lend it outside the wedding party. Don't open the camcorder body.
Reasonable wear is on us. Significant damage, loss, or theft is on you. Replacement costs: camcorder €450, battery €40 each, SD card €25 each, strap and sleeve €30 combined. We invoice for actual replacement costs only.
If the kit is returned more than 72 hours after the event date, a €25-per-day late fee applies. After 14 days, the kit is treated as lost.

Your footage
You own the footage your people record, The Edit, and The Home Movie. We retain a non-exclusive licence to use short, anonymised clips from The Edit for marketing — promotional reels, social, and our own website — unless you opt out by emailing hello@offscripttapes.ie before delivery.
We won't publish footage that identifies guests, includes ceremony audio, or any moment you flag as private. If you want a full opt-out, just say so when you book.

Delivery
We deliver the private link within 12 days of receiving the kit back. The VHS-shaped USB lands by post within 28 days.
Format: 1080p MP4 for both The Edit and The Home Movie. The Home Movie is your clips tidied and rolled into a single video, with no music added.
If we miss our delivery window for reasons inside our control, we apply a €50 credit per week of delay.

Limitation of liability
We do our best, but we can't guarantee that every moment of your wedding will be captured. The footage depends on the people you hand the camcorder to.
We are not responsible for the quality of footage or sound captured on the day. Wobble, framing, focus, background noise, missed moments, accidental record-stops — that's the nature of letting your guests film. We tidy and edit what arrives; we can't fix what wasn't recorded or wasn't recorded well.
If the kit fails or footage is unrecoverable due to a fault on our side, our maximum liability is a full refund of the price paid.
We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (cost of an alternative videographer, emotional distress, lost opportunity, etc.) beyond what consumer protection law requires.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer in Ireland or the UK.

Privacy
For the waitlist (expression of interest), we only collect your email, event date, and county. That's it.
When you book, we additionally collect your name, phone number, and delivery address so we can post the kit to you, plus payment details processed by our payment provider (we never see card numbers). We keep booking data for 7 years for tax and accounting reasons.
We don't sell or share your personal data. Email hello@offscripttapes.ie to access, correct, or delete your data, in line with GDPR.

Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the one published on the day you booked. Material changes are emailed to existing customers.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
